PV battery chargers have many applications in industry, for instance, satellites, solar vehicles, and building integrated photovoltaic systems use PV battery chargers ( Maturi et al., 2015 ). The interface system does not have a specific structure, and is subject to change from a PV battery charger to another charger.
A PV based battery charger was designed and implemented to evaluate the performance of the converter. The key part of the charger is the proposed DC/DC boost converter with a significant maximum converted power of 1.2 kW, and the efficiency of 98.21% which is more than the other DC/DC converter topologies reported in the literature.
